The Wales Coast Path app allows you to discover more about the path and now tracks your journey.

It’s a map-based app specially designed for the path, for smart devices like a phone or tablet. The app will enhance your path experience with the following two special functions:
Whether you walk one mile or the entire 870 miles, our app will show you where you are on the path. The tracking function is great for:
The app has lots of fun and interesting facts, features about the path and surrounding areas. These are linked to local Welsh folklore and history and the unique coastal wildlife - everything you’ll come across when you visit the path.
We’ve created 7 Family Walks with a Difference. These are designed to encourage families to visit the path using our app for a unique digital experience at the following locations:
1. The Great Orme near the Rest and be Thankful café in Conwy County,
2. Menai Bridge town on the Belgian Promenade on Anglesey,
3. Borth y Gest, near the car park in the village on the Llyn Peninsula,
4. New Quay town on the green near the official halfway sculpture in Ceredigion,
5. Saundersfoot beach in Pembrokeshire,
6. Pendine Sands near the beach car park in Carmarthenshire,
7. Cardiff barrage near Roald Dahl’s famous crocodile bench in Cardiff Bay.
Once the app is downloaded and open on your device, simply point it at the information board to unlock the special features in the app.
This activates a game, an augmented reality feature or a 3D video telling you a story about that section of the path in a fun and different way.

We recommend downloading the app before you visit the information boards for a seamless experience.You can download the app at each information board - data allowing / 3G and 4G signal permitting. Only information relevant to the information board location will be downloaded to your device.
