Having been treated for breast cancer in early 2013 at Velindre Cancer Centre, I wanted to raise as much as possible for their new appeal, "Victory over Cancer".

I love walking and have in the past walked small parts of the Wales Coast Path in Pembrokeshire and on the Lleyn peninsula. So when I heard that the path was open for the full 870 miles around Wales, it seemed the obvious choice for me to try to inspire people to donate to this great cause and at the same time to promote the beauty of Wales as I update my blog for each walk.  You can read my blog Pamela Mallpress Blog.

My husband is a great support and so we decided to start at the end of May 2013 taking it in bite sized chunks; our lives are too busy to have done the whole path without stopping!

We finally completed our journey on 27 September 2014 and what an experience! Fantastic! We are having a concert on behalf of Velindre on the 11th October to achieve our target of £4,000 for Velindre Cancer Centre (Just Giving: Pamela Mallpress).
